  • Mental health crises

  • School and community violence
  • Drug activity
  • Abuse
  • Harassment

Other issues affecting our Maryland students.

The Safe Schools Maryland Tip Line is a tool for proactively addressing harmful situations and helping students who need it. Not Receiving School Emails? Have a Comcast Email Address? Read Below to Solve the Issue!

If you are not receiving emails from School Messenger, and you have a Comcast email address, try one of the following solutions.

We are aware there is an existing issue with Comcast email addresses.

Comcast is very strict with their Spam filters and many users may not be aware the emails are being blocked.

We recommend one of the following steps to parents:

Whitelist the Email Address

  • Sign into your My XFINITY account.
  • At the top right, click the Mail icon to reach your inbox.
  • Click the Address Book tab.
  • Click New Contact
  • Add donotreply@carrollk12.org email address.
  • Click Save to save the contact.

Emails from this address will never be marked as spam.

Disable Spam Filter

  • Sign into your My XFINITY account.
  • Click on the gear on the top right: Settings
  • Under mail, go to Advanced Settings
  • Uncheck Enable Spam Filtering

If both steps do not work and the problem persists, we suggest the user contact Comcast Customer Support or use a different email.
