Sandy Rohwein is originally from the state of Washington. She is a graduate of Western Washington University, located in Bellingham, WA and moved to Maryland in 1994 and Carroll County in 2001. This is her first year at Outdoor School. She lives in New Windsor with her husband, four children, three dogs and two cats. She enjoys trail riding and fox hunting her Nokota pony as well as running, swimming, sewing and reading.

Tom Vail is originally from Woodlawn in Baltimore County and moved to Carroll County at age 11, where he still resides. Mr. Vail graduated from Liberty High School in 1992 and Western Maryland College in 1996. He has worked at the Outdoor School for 20 years. Mr. Vail has taught marching band at Liberty High School for the past 21 years. He enjoys music and plays guitar in two local bands.

Mary Hoy is from Carroll County. She is a graduate of Salisbury University. Mrs. Hoy has been working at the Outdoor School for 19 years. She enjoys teaching kids about the environment, planting gardens with kids, vacationing on the river, and learning.
