Northwest Middle School offers a wide variety of clubs and activities for students to participate in. Below is a description of each, along with a short write-up.

  Ski Club

Like to ski or snowboard?  The Husky Ski Club will be taking five trips to Ski Liberty in January and February.  Night Club Cards can be purchased online through Ski Liberty.  More info attached... Ski Club Newsletter

Yearbook Club

The yearbook club is open to students in grades 6, 7 and 8. Anyone with creative experience and free time after school will find this club very rewarding. See Ms. Fitzgerald in the 8th Grade Pod for info!
TV News
Join the TV News Crew. This club is open to 8th grade students ONLY. Try your hand at anchor person or maybe you want a behind the scenes role like producer, technician or camera person. We meet once a month to evaluate our performance. See Ms. Cumberland in the Media Center for details.
Intramural Sports
Students will participate in an extension of the Physical Education curriculum, including team sports, individual sports and personal fitness activities as an opportunity to promote health and wellness.  Activities will be offered during the Fall, Winter and Spring, see Mr. Storey or Mrs. Strosnider for more information.
Cooking Club
Cooking club is a once a month club where we prepare a different healthy and fun recipe.  The recipes can be easily made again at home for students to share with their families.  Since space is limited in the club to only 20 students per month, a new permission slip is distributed each month to allow as many students to join in as possible.  See Ms. Leader in the 6th Grade Pod for more information!

Student Government
(S.G.A.)

Students in this club participate in activities that help develop them as student leaders in our school. They meet after school to work on activities and events that help them accomplish this goal.  See Mr. Hull in the 7th Grade Pod for more information.

S.H.O.U.T.
Students Helping Others in Understanding Themselves (SHOUT) is a club sponsored by Drug Free Schools. Students meet to promote and support drug free behaviors. Various activities are organized throughout the year by this club.
