Battle of the Books Author Celebrations

Night One- Monday, March 18, 6:30pm: Hena Khan & Natalie Dias Lorenzi

Night Two- Friday, March 22, 6:30pm: Ru Xu & Cammie McGovern

Hena Khan is the author of several books, including Amina's Voice, which brings to life the joys and challenges of a young Pakistani-American girl. Natalie Dias Lorenzi is the author of A Long Pitch Home, a sensitive and endearing contemporary novel about family, friends, and assimilation. Ru Xu is the author of NewsPrints and the just-released sequel EndGames, about Blue, an orphan who disguises herself as a newsboy during wartime. Cammie McGovern is the author of Chester and Gus as well as one of the founders of Whole Children, a resource center that runs after-school classes and programs for children with special needs. 

An author talk will be followed by an interview by Ted Zaleski and an audience Q&A. A book signing will follow the talk. Bring your copies or purchase books that night from A Likely Story Bookstore. This author series is sponsored by the Friends of Carroll County Public Library and is funded in part through a Choose Civility Grant.
