Francis Scott Key High School Athletic Hall of Fame

The athletic program is, and always has been a vital part of the overall educational experience at Francis Scott Key High School.  The experiences lived and skills learned on the playing fields at Francis Scott Key have helped prepare student-athletes for life in the adult world and provided lasting memories.  Thousands of student-athletes, and hundreds of coaches, administrators, and others have participated, or played a role in the school’s athletic program since its inception.

There are, however, those special people who have stood above the rest in their achievements and contributions to the Francis Scott Key Athletic program.  In order to properly recognize these elite contributors, we are proud to announce the resurrection of the Francis Scott Key Athletic Hall of Fame.

The mission of the Francis Scott Key High School Athletic Hall of Fame is to recognize and honor former athletes, coaches, administrators, and others for their outstanding achievements and contributions to the school’s athletic program.

Nomination Criterion

Nominations categories will be for:  athletes, coaches, administrators, and other service/contribution.

The nomination committee will be made up of the principal, the athletic director, faculty members, and community members.

Nomination forms will be accepted in the main office until December 1, 2019

Nomination forms will be located in the main office or online through FSK’s school website.

Each year during the winter sports season, new inductees will be honored with the presentation of a plaque highlighting his or her contribution to the athletic program which will hang on the wall in the athletic hallway.  Recipients will also be awarded a plaque that resembles the one that hangs at Francis Scott Key High School.

Francis Scott Key High School is accepting nominations for induction into the FSK Athletic Hall of Fame.  We are seeking candidates who have made outstanding contributions to the athletic programs of Francis Scott Key.  Exemplary scholarship and citizenship are also prime considerations.  We welcome nominations for athletes, coaches and administrators who have contributed to the success of FSK’s athletic programs.

To nominate a qualified individual, please submit his or her full name, address, phone and/or email address along with a short summary of his or her accomplishments.  A committee of current coaches and staff will narrow the field to a smaller group who will then be sent a more detailed application for further review.

Nominations will be accepted in the main office until December 1, 2019.  For more information please contact:  Michelle Brilhart at mdbrilh@carrollk12.org.
