Specific to Textile and Fashion Designs: 

  • As the class progresses from level 1 to level 2 the ability to produce and create under deadlines is critical
  • Keeping up with projects is essential

Health & Biosciences: Academy of Health and Biomedical Science (Project Lead the Way)

  • AP/Transcipted level classwork
  • Able to memorize large amount of information to function in the lab or clinic area
  • Computer and technical skills to use charting, office, lab and medical equipment
  • High interest in Mathematics and Science
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple projects
  • Problem-solving skills to analyze situations or data and produce appropriate solutions
  • Self-motivation and academically ready for college level curriculum
  • Strong math and reading skills (college level)

Specific Academy of Health

  • Students will be drug tested (Carroll and Luthern Village Requirements)
  • Students will be tested for TB
  • Must be able to earn CPR certification
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift equipment and/or patients
  • Speaking and listening skills to make sure patients understand treatments and medical concepts
  • Detail orientation to notice small changes in patients’ symptoms or data records
