Professional Experience before becoming a CCCTC Instructor: Career in television industry including 6 years as manager of a local television station
Video Production is designed for students who have career interests in film and video production or broadcast media. Students work on the fundamentals of video production , including the techniques and the anesthetics of shooting, lighting, sound design, and editing. this program provides instruction in a real studio environment. Students create scripts and then record, capture, and edit film and television broadcasts. Students use HD Cameras and Hollywood level Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premier Pro editing software. Students also have access to a professional TV studio at the Community Media Center. Students will develop the entry level skills needed to record news and live events and to film videos and television broadcasts.

Brief Video of the Program
Get a jump start on college- Use college level texts to earn college credit while having the training, skills, and experience that most high school graduates do not get until they are well into their college major. This program puts you in touch with state of the art computers, software, HD cameras, a professional TV studio, and other technology so students can experience video production before they go to college. <THE APPLICATION PROCESS>- SPACE IS LIMITED FOR SOME PROGRAMS. Acceptance is based on Attendance, GPA, and grades/rigor in certain classes. Also, tenth graders who apply by Dec 1st are part of the first round of decisions. See the <How to Apply webpage>

PREREQUISITES- (Completed before you start the program)
- Graphic Arts OR Commercial Art or OR Script Writing/Video Production
- 94% attendance and 2.0 GPA in academic level classes
SCHEDULE OF PROGRAM (junior or senior year)
- MODS 1-3 SPRING OR
- MODS 1-3 FALL OR
- (new for fall 2019) Mods 2-3 all year- this options includes the prerequisite, 'Script Writing and Video Production'

ARRIVAL/DISMISSAL TIMES- <Arrival/dismissal times and other dates>
CCCTC TRANSPORTATION- Transportation is provided to from your home high. (there are some exceptions such as community based internship) Also, students going to CCCTC will still have classes at their home high school and may continue to be involved in extracurricular activities.

PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS (Don't just take our word for it)
Community Media Center- is our partner across the parking lot. Because of the high standards of professionalism in our program the CMC allows us to use their professional 5000 square foot TV studio and professional equipment.
Art Institute of Washington , Bridgemont Community and Technical College, Carroll Community College- all have an agreement with CCCTC based on the college's requirements for curriculum, faculties, and instructor that is reviewed and renewed periodically to guarantee that students are getting the equivalent instruction at CCCTC that would be expected in class at that institution. Credits are awarded based on that agreement.
PROFESSIONAL ADVISORY COUNSEL By Federal and state regulations each program has a group of local business and educational institutions that periodically meets to discuss the programs curriculum and resources to make sure current trends in technology and skills are being taught so that students are prepared for the ever changing career requirements for that industry.
