The Century Scroll is a self-funded, student-run newspaper, produced to benefit the Century High School communicate as a source of non-biased news and a public forum for student opinion.

The staff at The Scroll encourages readers to respond to articles or opinions published in the paper by writing letters to the editor. The Scroll will make an effort to publish letters in their entirety, but reserves the “write” to alter letters for style of length. Letters can be delivered to room A111 or Dawne Dill’s mailbox in the front office.

Since 2005, staff members of The Scroll have produced a comprehensive paper each month containing school, local and world news as well as opinion pieces. This is the first year that the staff has created an online blog to accompany the print edition.

Mission Statement:

“The purpose of the student newspaper, the “Century Scroll,” at Century High School is to unite our community by allowing students a chance to let their voice be heard which will educate and entertain readers while providing a permanent record of the school year.”
