Arriving Late? Changing Dismissal?

Is Your Child Arriving Late or Leaving Early?  Are You Changing the Way Your Child Dismisses at the End of the Day?

See the "how tos" below:

ARRIVING LATE:  Parents MUST accompany their child to the front door.  The parent/guardian will ring the doorbell and let the responding staffer know they're here to drop off their child.  The staff member will ask why the student is late, and in most scenerios let the parent know they are opening the door with the "1A" on it and ask the student to come into the school then into the office.  Once the student comes into the office, the staffer signs the student in, gives the student a lates pass, confirms the student knows where they're heading (and if they don't the staffer will look up the student's schedule) and have the student proceed to class.  (Third grade students are escorted by a staff member back to the portable.)

END OF DAY DISMISSAL CHANGE:  The school day ends at 3:45. To dismiss your child differently at the END of the school day, please submit an end of day dismissal change on the day you want to change the dismissal using the following directions:

ONE GROUP EMAIL MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:;;; and cc their teacher (find their email in the directory)

Place in subject line:  End of Day Dismissal Change

In body of email:

  • Student’s full name
  • Teacher’s name
  • Grade
  • How they should be dismissed today
  • Any additional notes that you believe are relevant

IF there is a bus ride involved in the change of dismissal - always include the bus stop.

IF it is a change to parent pick-up and it isn't a parent/guardian doing the pick-up - always include the individual you're allowing to do the pick-up.

IF there is a sibling involved (and its the same change), please put change of dismissal for all siblings on one email and cc each student's teacher

LEAVING EARLY DISMISSAL NOTIFICATION  To dismiss your child before the school day ends at 3:45, please submit the early dismissal notification on the day you want to take your child out of school early using the following directions:

ONE GROUP EMAIL MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:;;; and you can cc their teacher (find their email in the directory)

Place in subject line:  Early Dismissal Notification

In body of email:

  • Student’s full name

Make Up and Retake is November 19

Lifetouch tries to make it easy:  if photo packages were ordered and they choose to do retakes, we ask that the student brings back the package on retake day and tells the photographer what they would like changed (glare on glasses, position etc.)

If any student wants their picture retaken, even if they just only got a proof, let your child's teacher know, and they'll be brought down.

If you choose to pre-order, a list will be generated from Lifetouch which we will also use to pull students for photographs.

No, this isn't actually my picture. I just haven't gotten around to updating this section. It's good to know that someone is reading every last word though. Thanks!
