Thank you for your interest in completing an internship with Carroll County Public Schools. Below are three documents that need to be reviewed and returned in order to begin the placement process. Please click on the title of the document for a copy. Due to an increased amount of student interns and student teachers coming to us through our formal Professional Development School relationships with local colleges and universities, we cannot guarantee that a placement will be available. We have been placing hundreds of students each semester and we must limit the number of additional student interns/student teachers in order to honor the integrity of our educational program and respect the increased workload on our faculty. In addition, we are only accepting applications for student interns/student teachers who have a residence in Carroll County. Again, thank you for your interest in CCPS!
Application: Complete all areas of the application. Please understand that many of our schools are Professional Development Schools for local colleges and it is not their practice to accept students from other institutions. Principals have the right to conduct an interview prior to granting a placement. This is not a requirement for PDS candidates.
Fingerprinting: Beginning July 1, 2016, all candidates completing a full-time internship with CCPS must be fingerprinted by CCPS. Fingerprinting must be completed at least 3 days prior to the placement date but not more than 30 days prior. Only students who have formally been placed with a Mentor Teacher and confirmed with Staff Development will be fingerprinted.
Validation of Information Received: For those interns completing observation hours or placements other than a final, fulltime placement, they must review our Validation of Information Recieved packet and return the signature page.

Spring 2019 Placements: Requests received by October 15, 2018
Fall 2019 Placements: Requests received by June 1, 2019
