Planning overview
Statement The Superintendent formed a CCPS Blueprint Implementation Team to coordinate the implementation of the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future. There are five sub-teams based on the five Blueprint policy areas. Each sub-team has a designated chair and team members assigned based on the content.
The CCPS Blueprint Implementation Team will meet in an on-going manner. The CCPS Blueprint Implementation Coordinator and the sub-team leaders are responsible for managing timelines and coordinating the works of the teams. Monthly reports are provided at Board of Education business meetings.

AIB Comprehensive Plan (Draft) - the final plan will be adopted by the AIB on 12/1/22
The final Comprehensive Plan will include a timeline with key year-to-year milestones for implementing the Blueprint law. Once the AIB has adopted the Comprehensive Plan, it will:

Create guidelines for State and local agencies to follow in developing and submitting their own Blueprint implementation plans;

Hold State and local agencies accountable for fulfilling their identified responsibilities by reviewing and approving their policies, plans, and practices for compliance with the Comprehensive Plan;

Monitor implementation on an ongoing basis;

Gather and analyze data that shows how implementation impacts student performance over time;

Evaluate outcomes achieved during the implementation period against the Blueprint’s goals and objectives; and

Annually report on implementation progress to the Governor, legislature, and the public.
