Qualifications

Your child(ren) may be eligible for free or reduced price meals if your household income and family size meet the federal guidelines. If your gross income (before taxes) is at or below the level on the scale, your child(ren) is eligible for either free or reduced price meals. If you receive food stamps or temporary cash assistance (TCA) for your child(ren), they are eligible for free meals. In Carroll County Public Schools, the cost for reduced priced meals has been eliminated.  Families that qualify at the reduced priced rate will pay $0.00 for breakfast and lunch.

Once the online application has been submitted and reviewed, a Notice of Action Taken letter will be sent home with your child.

By Mail

You can also complete the Household Meal Benefit Application that is sent home at the beginning of each new school year with your youngest child. Sign the application and return it to your youngest child's school. A Notice of Action Taken will be sent home notifying you of your child(ren)'s eligibility status as soon as a determination is made.
