Student Government Association (CCSGA)

Vision

Carroll County Student Government Association will prepare all students to be active, responsible leaders and citizens of a diverse school system and community.

Mission

We, the Carroll County Student Government Association, are the official representative voice for all students within Carroll County Public Schools. We exist to empower our student body through the following measures:

  • Service

CCSGA will take action to positively impact the schools and community on behalf of all students.

  • Advocacy

CCSGA will provide a representative, influential, respectful, and clear voice on behalf of students.

  • Leadership

CCSGA seeks to foster and empower accountable, credible, and servant leaders who exemplify and enact the opinions of all students.

  • Integrity

CCSGA has an uncompromising commitment to upholding an obligation to better Carroll County Public Schools for all students through honest, moral, and ethical actions.

  • Democracy

CCSGA is a representative-based organization that inclusively listens to the concerns of a diverse student body and promotes student success and equity throughout the school community.

Each year, CCSGA hosts four General Assemblies—held in October, December, February, and April. Middle and high school students involved in their school’s Student Government Association (SGA) can serve as delegates and represent their school at these events.

During the assemblies, delegates develop essential communication and leadership skills through interactive workshops focused on team building, character development, and civic engagement. These experiences empower students to become active, positive contributors both within their schools and in the broader community.

In addition, delegates have the opportunity to hear from inspiring keynote speakers and take part in CCSGA elections, including selecting the Student Representative on the Board of Education (SROB) and CCSGA officers.
