Business Cluster
Accounting completer students take the Accounting 101 Final Exam from Carroll Community College at the end of Accounting II and can earn 3 transcripted college credits
Business Administration and Management completer students take the Microsoft Office Specialist, Specialist Excel Exam OR College Board - CLEP Principles of Management Exam
Financial Services, National Academy of Finance Endorsement, completer students take assessments from the National Academy Foundation (NAF)
Honors Marketing completer students take the Principles of Honors Marketing, College Board – CLEP
Construction Cluster
Students in Building Maintenance, Carpentry, Electrical Construction, HVAC, Masonry, and Welding are required to take and pass the National Construction Career Tests (NCCT) from the National Center of Construction Education and Research titled Core-Introductory Craft Skills to achieve Level II status in construction programs. At the end of Level II, students will take the NCCT for the content area that they are studying.
The students also have the opportunity take Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 10-hour certificate; https://www.osha.gov/training/outreach
Health & Human Services Cluster
Academy of Health Professions students take tests from the Maryland Board of Nursing Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Biomedical Sciences (Project Lead the Way) take end-of-course tests in Honors Principles of Biomedical Sciences, Honors Human Body Systems, Honors Medical Intervention, and Honors Biomedical Research
Cosmetology students take tests from the Maryland State Board of Cosmetologists.
Culinary Arts students take tests from the American Culinary Federation.
ProStart students take the exam from the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation.
Early Childhood Education students, upon successful completion of the completer program, receive a 90 hour Maryland State Department of Education Certificate.
Engineering/Manufacturing Cluster
Students in Engineering (Project Lead The Way) take end-of-course tests in Honors Principles of Engineering, Introduction to Engineering Design, Digital Electronics, and Computer Integrated Manufacturing.
Manufacturing and Machine Technologies students take National Institute of Metalworking Skills credential exams.
Information Technology Cluster
Computer Technology students learn the necessary information to take the Advanced Placement Computer Science test through the College Board.
Print Production students have the opportunity to take PrintED national exams in Introduction to Graphic Communications and Digital File Preparation. This program is certified through the Graphic Arts Education and Research Foundation.
Cisco Networking Academy students take Cisco CCNA 1, CCNA 2, CCNA 3, and CCNA 4 end-of-course exams and have the opportunity to take A+ Certification tests.
Transportation Technology Cluster
Students in Automotive, Collision, and Heavy Equipment and Truck Technology take Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification tests at the completion of their program.
Every student in the Automotive, Collision, and Heavy Equipment and Truck Technology take the Safety and Pollution Prevention (S/P2) safety certification.
Students in Automotive may also earn a TrainSmart personalized certificate for on the car brake lathes from ProCut; http://www.procutusa.com/training.aspx
