Manchester Valley Mini-THON Raises $12,000 for Pediatric Cancer Research

Students at Manchester Valley High School participated in the school’s first Four Diamonds Mini-THON event on April 8, 2022. The event was planned by NHS student leaders as their yearlong service project and raised over $12,000 for pediatric cancer research and treatment.

After many months of fundraising, students spent the evening playing sports, dancing, singing karaoke, making crafts, and playing board games and video games to celebrate their efforts. Several local businesses donated prizes, money, or supplies for the event, with Outlaw BBQ and Greenmount Station Restaurant being the top two overall sponsors. The school plans to make this an annual event and increase the fundraising total from year to year.
