Carroll Students Recognized at Maryland History Day Competition

The Maryland History Day state competition took place on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC).  Students who placed first or second in their project category during the Carroll County History Day competition advanced to the state competition and had the opportunity to submit their projects to compete against students from other counties throughout the state of Maryland. The competition included middle and high school student projects related to this year’s theme, Debate and Diplomacy in History: Successes, Failures, Consequences.

The following students will advance to the National History Day competition or won a special award for their project.

Advanced to National History Day:

Award: Senior Individual Performance, Second Place
Topic: Ratification of the Constitution
