The Board of Education of Carroll County has revised the schedule for its regular monthly meetings in July and August 2022. The meetings will be held as listed below:
Thursday, July 21, 2022 – 5:00 p.m.
(originally scheduled for Wednesday, July 13)
Wednesday, August 17, 2022 – 5:00 p.m.
(originally scheduled for Wednesday, August 10).
The meetings will be held at the Board of Education offices, located at 125 North Court Street in Westminster. Citizen participation is scheduled on the agenda for 5:15 p.m. and again later in the meeting. Speakers will be allowed three minutes to address the Board.
The Board of Education will continue taking public comment through the CCPS website at www.carrollk12.org (click on the Board of Education tab and Contact Us) or through the US mail. Persons who wish to have their comments posted on the Public Comments page of the website should indicate so at the beginning of their email. Comments must be received by 1:00 p.m. on the day of the Board meeting in order to be posted prior to the meeting.
The meetings will be streamed live on the CCPS website at www.carrollk12.org/board-of-education and will be broadcast live on CETV Channel 21. The agenda and back-up materials for the meeting will be available on the website by close of business on the Monday before the meeting. As a reminder, the Board meeting room has capacity limits which we are required to follow. Standing cannot be permitted to ensure exits and egress pathways remain clear.
It is the general practice of the Board of Education of Carroll County to briefly convene in open session at approximately 3:00 p.m. at the Board offices at 125 North Court Street, Westminster, on the day of a regular monthly Board meeting to move into closed session as permitted by the Maryland Open Meetings Act, Section 3-305 (b) of the General Provisions Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland and Section 3-103 of the General Provision Articles of the Annotated Code of Maryland. Specific information regarding the topics to be discussed will be made available approximately seven days prior to the meeting. Please refer to the CCPS website at www.carrollk12.org for updates.
