Budget Hearing and Board Work Session - February 1

A public hearing on the Superintendent’s Proposed FY24 Operating Budget will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. at the Board of Education offices, located at 125 North Court Street in Westminster. A Board work session on the budget will be held immediately following the hearing. Both meetings will be streamed live on the CCPS website at www.carrollk12.org/board-of-education under Meeting Information and will be broadcast live on CETV Channel 21.

The proposed budget is available for review on the CCPS website at www.carrollk12.org under Financial Services and Budget. Adoption of the budget will take place during the Board meeting on February 8, 2023, at 5:00 p.m.

Digital sign-up for those who wish to speak at the hearing will be available at www.carrollk12.org  beginning at 8:00 a.m. the day before the hearing and ending that evening at 9:00 p.m. Click here to register to speak or go to www.carrollk12.org and click on the Board of Education tab, then Meeting Information and Public Participation. Please note, any form that is not filled out in its entirety will not be considered. If you do not have Internet access and would like to register to speak, please contact the Communications Office at 410-751-3020 during this time. Citizens will not be able to sign up at the hearing.

The Board of Education will continue taking public comment through the CCPS website at www.carrollk12.org (click on the Board of Education tab and Contact Us) or through the US mail. Persons who wish to have their comments posted on the Public Comments page of the website should indicate so at the beginning of their email. Comments must be received by 1:00 p.m. on the day of the hearing in order to be posted prior to the hearing.

As a reminder, the Board meeting room has capacity limits which we are required to follow. Standing cannot be permitted to ensure exits and egress pathways remain clear.
