The community will celebrate the Ninth Annual “A Day On, Not A Day Off” commemorating the life and legacy of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Monday, January 15, 2018, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in Decker College Center’s Forum at McDaniel College. This event is being sponsored by McDaniel College, Carroll County NAACP, The Ira and Mary Zepp Center for Peace and Nonviolence, and Carroll County Public Schools.
Students in grades 3-12 are invited to attend to learn about Dr. King as well as the courageous story of Rosa Parks. Students will participate in a service learning project to benefit International Rescue. Each participant is asked to bring a new school supply item. Students in grades 6-12 will receive Service Learning hours. The cost for lunch is $7.00 for all.
