Attention All August SAT Test Takers:

Unfortunately, Carroll County Public Schools will have to cancel the August 29th SAT that was originally set to occur at four of our high schools.   However, we have rescheduled a new date of Wednesday, October 14th, for the SAT to be administered to Carroll County Public Schools students only.

The change in date is a result of several school systems across the state of Maryland canceling their August 29th date and CCPS experiencing a large influx of hundreds of additional students from all over the state of Maryland and southern Pennsylvania registering at our four testing sites. Unfortunately, these large numbers of last-minute out-of-county and out-of-state registrations are far more than we are able to accommodate when considering the current COVID-19 requirements, restrictions, and safety precautions.

We have worked with the College Board in an effort to be sure that CCPS students only can take the SAT and not be impacted by students from other counties or states.  The new testing date of October 14th will be a School-Day SAT that will take place in each of our high schools for Carroll County students ONLY.  Students who wish to participate will be able to test at their home school site. Information will be forthcoming from school administration about how students can register with their school for the School-Day SAT opportunity.
