Evan Warren, a 2020 graduate of Westminster High School, has been selected as the recipient of the Student Athlete Scholarship for Section 2 by the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association. These scholarships recognize the distinguished scholastic, leadership, and sportsmanship attributes of high school student athletes, and the importance of high school athletics in each student’s life.

Warren’s application was in competition with others from Delaware, Kentucky, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia and will now be sent to the national awards committee for consideration among the winners from seven other sections. Warren previously received the scholarship award for the state of Maryland. As the Section 2 winner, he will receive a $1,500 scholarship.

Among Warren’s many accomplishments, he was one of nine high school seniors from the Baltimore area to receive the 2020 Minds in Motion Scholar-Athlete Scholarship. He also was a 1st Team All-Conference and All-County football player. He was a member of the Super 22 Team, a Baltimore Touchdown Club All-Star, and a Maryland Crab Bowl All-Star. He also is a former Student Representative to the Board of Education of Carroll County.
