In the last month, Carroll County Public Schools (CCPS) has had an unprecedented number of students accessing learning on the internet. Given this rapid expansion, it is important that school staff, teachers, students, and parents remain vigilant to the need to provide and monitor safe online learning environments.

In February, at the CCPS sponsored “Navigating Difficult Waters Together: Supporting, Empowering and Communicating with Today’s Youth,” Joe Dugan from the Maryland State Police Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force presented a session called “A Parent’s Guide to Internet Safety.”  At the session, he shared tips to protect kids online.
