Members of the Westminster High School FFA Chapter were recognized as a Gold Medal team in the Horse Evaluation Career Development Event at the 92nd National FFA Convention, earning fifteenth place from a field of forty-seven.  Over the course of the two-day event, state winning teams from across the nation evaluated horses for conformation and performance, developed management proposals, and delivered oral presentations related to the equine industry.

Individually, Rebecca Wimmer earned a Gold Medal.  The remainder of the team, Lesa Ramsburg, Avery Dull, and Abigail Wimmer, earned Silver Medals as individuals.  The team and chapter wish to thank Ms. Amanda Jewell for her diligent coaching.  To help support the WHS FFA Chapter, please contact adgeima@carrollk12.org.  To learn more about FFA, visit www.FFA.org and www.mdffa.org
