On Saturday, September 14, 2019, Lesa Ramsburg, Westminster High graduate (2019), was recognized as the Maryland FFA Star in Agricultural Placement and a runner-up in the Northeast Region of the United States.

Ramsburg’s recognition stems from her Supervised Agricultural Experience project working with equine business, both as a technician and trainer of horses.  Ramsburg began her Supervised Agricultural Experience project in elementary school and extended it through her involvement in Agriscience courses and FFA at Westminster High School.  For her accomplishments in this field, Ramsburg has been awarded cash and prizes that she will use as she pursues a college degree in Animal Science at Ohio State University.  Earlier in the year, Ramsburg was recognized as the Maryland Proficiency Award Winner for Placement in Equine Science and as a recipient of the Maryland FFA Degree.
