The Century High School FFA Marketing Plan Team placed first during the competition at the Maryland State FFA Convention, which was held at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore this summer.  In the Marketing Plan Career Development Event (CDE), participants develop practical marketing skills while creating and presenting a marketing plan for a local agribusiness.  This CDE allows students to explore and prepare for possible careers in agrimarketing and develop partnerships within the community.

Team members Judy Wolf, Madison Presley and Claire Wilson collaborated to research, develop, and present a marketing plan for New Windsor based farm market, Local Homestead Products.  These students produced an innovative plan incorporating accessible technology to increase the customer base and profitability of the business.

They will compete at the FFA National Convention in Indianapolis this fall.
