Members of the Francis Scott Key High School Student Government Association coordinated and participated in their annual volleyball tournament, which they have been organizing for over eight years. Every year, students choose an organization to donate all proceeds to; this year the students decided to donate to the Student Support Fund, a non-profit organization that assists homeless students and families in Carroll County.
After choosing the organization, students advertised on social media, posted flyers, and contacted local organizations for interested players. They helped set up the equipment and organize all the teams. Along with playing on a team of their own, the volunteers kept scores, managed the order of play, and kept the fun going with music and picture taking. Students raised over $1,500 for the Student Support Fund.
