The South Carroll High School Stagelighters won awards at the Cappies of Baltimore Gala held on Sunday, May 19, 2019. The gala is a celebration of high school drama productions much like the Tony Awards.

Out of 21 schools in the Baltimore region, the Stagelighters received 14 nominations and brought home 2 awards for their fall production of "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime.” Ayden Behn received the Cappie for Lead Actor in a Play, and Romeo Cardenas earned the Cappie for Creativity for his work in composing an original score for the show.
