A program entitled Teens Living with Loss will be presented on Wednesday, April 17, 2019, from 6:45 to 8:30 p.m. at West Middle School, located at 60 Monroe Street in Westminster.
Carroll Hospice will present a free, interactive program about teens and grief for all parents, guardians, and community members. The event will feature Jessica Roschen, M.S., Bereavement Counselor, and Jill Englar, LCSWC, Director of Support Services.
Feelings of loss can occur when someone close dies, leaves the home, or moves away. Loss can be traumatic, debilitating, and life changing if not properly addressed. Participants will be provided with resources to help their children deal with the loss of a loved one, someone they depended on, or their pet. Topics will include grief and mourning, teen grief reactions, sudden loss, coping skills, and available resources.
