The Carroll County Career and Technology Center has received a grant from The Dart Foundation to build a Makerspace. The $44,000 grant will be used to purchase equipment including a 3D scanner and printer, a laser engraver, and a CNC machine. The Makerspace will be used by students at the Tech Center, as well as middle school students, to create projects.

According to William Eckles, principal at the Career and Technology Center, “It is our hope that we can use this Makerspace to highlight STEM education and spread the word about the possibilities we have for students.”
