The Manchester Valley High School Advisory Council is raising funds to purchase an electronic sign for the school.

The sign will be visible from Route 30 and would benefit both the school and the community. According to MVHS Advisory Council president Tom Rhoads, school organizations, sports teams, and clubs will be able to use the sign to promote school activities and achievements to the community. The cost of the sign will be $35,000.

The Advisory Council is partnering with the Community Foundation of Carroll County in their fundraising efforts. Anyone wishing to donate can visit the website, which will direct potential donors to a Community Foundation of Carroll County PayPal site. Checks made payable to The Community Foundation of Carroll County. with a designation on the memo line or in a letter that the donation is for the MVHS Advisory Council Electronic Sign, will also be accepted. Donations may be sent to The Community Foundation of Carroll County, 255 Clifton Boulevard, Suite 313, Westminster, MD  21157. All donations are tax deductible.

Proceeds from the Hampstead-Manchester Business and Community Expo also will be used to help cover the cost of the sign.
