After 40 years of competing in Tournament of Bands, the Liberty High School Lions’ Pride Marching Band won 1st place in Group 3 Open Class at the Atlantic Coast Championships held on November 3, 2018, in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

Under the leadership of instrumental music director Brandi Jason, the band earned a score of 98.00, the highest score of any Maryland band in the history of the conference, while also winning awards for High Music and High Visual. Maya Lee, a senior at Liberty, was named Best Drum Major for the second year. She will once again lead the TOB All-Star Marching Band on Thanksgiving Day in the Philadelphia Parade which will be aired on ABC.

The Lions’ Pride Marching Band’s 2018 show is titled Beneath the Surface. The band will be performing the show at the home football playoff game on Friday, November 9, at 7:00 p.m.
