Artwork by Carroll County Public Schools is being featured in two special exhibits in celebration of March as Youth Art Month.

Artwork by elementary and middle school students is on exhibit at the Carroll Arts Center from March 1-14, 2018. The hours of the exhibit are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The high school art exhibit will take place from March 15 – April 15, 2018, in the Langdon Gallery at Carroll Community College.

In addition to these displays, student artwork will be highlighted on the school system’s Facebook page periodically throughout the month.

Youth Art Month encourages support for quality school art programs and promotes the safe manipulation of art materials within a program. The Council for Art Education administers the program at the national level. The program provides a medium for recognizing skills developed through visual arts experiences unlike any other curriculum subjects, including problem solving, creativity, observation, and communication.
