Dalton Yingling, a student in the Welding Program at the Carroll County Career and Technology Center, won first place in the “I BUILT THIS” video contest sponsored by the National Center for Construction Education & Research (NCCER) and Build Your Future.

The annual video contest gives aspiring craft professionals and their instructors an opportunity to showcase outstanding construction projects and designs that are relevant to the construction or maintenance industries. In his video, Yingling describes the Tech Center’s 9/11 memorial project, which features a steel I-beam from the Twin Towers. The memorial is displayed at the Public Safety Training Center in Westminster.

Yingling’s video is posted on the NCCER website at https://www.nccer.org/i-built-this.
