The Board of Education of Carroll County will conduct a special meeting on the Superintendent’s Final School Closure and Boundary Adjustment Recommended Plan on Wednesday, December 9, 2015. The meeting will be held at Westminster High School, located at 1225 Washington Road, Westminster. Public session will begin at 6:00 p.m.
Please note that if the Board has not concluded its 4:00 p.m. regular meeting, the Board will take a recess and conduct the special meeting at 6:00 p.m. as scheduled.
Members of the public will be permitted two minutes per person to speak, or present written testimony or data, at this meeting prior to the Board's final vote. Public comment will begin at 6:00 p.m. for a period of 30 minutes. The Board’s vote will be taken at approximately 6:30 p.m.
The Board of Education will, at a minimum, consider all data, factors, and analyses enumerated by the Superintendent in the final recommended plan. The Board’s final decision will include contemplation of these factors and public input, and will set forth the rationale for the Board's decision to close or not close the school(s) and implement the boundary adjustments for the 2016-2017 school year. The Board’s final decision will be in writing and will be announced no later than April 30, 2016.
