Parent Drop-Off & Pick-Up?
Always use the drop-off and pick-up lane behind the school on the west side of our building. Parent drop-off begins at 8:55 a.m. Parent pick-up begins at 3:45 p.m. Please stay within the lane at all times and move forward when directed to do so. Do not stop at the curb to drop-off or pick-up children. If you do not use the drop-off/pick-up lane, you must park your vehicle in a proper space and escort your child across the lot and onto the walkway.

Doors Open at 8:55 a.m.
Students may enter the building at 8:55 a.m. Please have your child dressed properly for the weather if he or she will be waiting outside before doors open.
Child out sick?
Please call the school the morning of the absence or send in a note explaining the absence when your child returns. A parent or guardian must sign the note. Without a call or note, the absence is marked as unexcused.
Be on time!
Students who arrive to school on time are better prepared to learn. Tardies (arriving late or departing early) do not promote good work habits and negatively impact learning. It is recorded as a full-day absence if a student is in attendance at school for less than 2 hours during any single day. Student attendance data is routinely monitored.
Willie Wear Day is every Friday! Everyone is invited to wear clothing that shows your pride in our school!
Volunteer Training for Classroom &/or Field Trip Work
Training is required before you can volunteer and will be offered prior to our PTA meetings. Remember, if you were trained last year, your volunteer status expired at the end of September 2009. Please attend a training offered at Willie or other CCPS sites. If you receive training at a different location, please bring paperwork that confirms the date & location of your training. Willie’s trainings begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. and ending at 6:25 p.m. because they are scheduled before our monthly PTA meetings.
