Enrollment/Change of Address/Transcripts/ Permits

Registration

Registrations are held by appointments only. Appointments can be made by calling 410-386-1500. Student information needed for registration includes:

 

  1. Proof of Birth
  2. Proof of Residency: Acceptable documents include:
    • A signed lease/rental agreement on a home in which the parent/legal guardian is currently residing;
    • A current rent receipt
    • A recent bill for a service delivered to the residence (e.g. BGE, land-line phone, cable, oil, water)
    • A recent mortgage statement/bill
    • A signed settlement document
    • A property tax bill from the current fiscal year indicating “primary residence”
    • A notarized Residence Verification Statement accompanied by an acceptable proof of residency for the owner/lessee of the property
    • Deed (must show house number and street name—plat information is not acceptable)
  3. Immunization Record
  4. Prior school records (transcript, report cards)

Withdraw/Transfer

Only a parent or legal guardian may withdraw a student. Please call the Registrar to have a transfer packet prepared for your student.


Transcripts

Transcript requests must be submitted in writing (please click HERE to print a request form) and include the student name while attending WMHS, date of birth, year of graduation and the location of where the transcript is to be sent. There is a $5 charge for graduates; current students can request up to 3 transcripts without charge and then $1 for additional requests. Please allow 7-10 days for transcript requests to be processed.


Change of Address

Official proof of residency must be provided in order to have a change of address. Acceptable forms of proof of residency is listed above under registration.


Work Permits

Directions for Requesting a Work Permit
 
1.                  Obtain an application form in the guidance office.
2.                  Complete the application (make sure you have signatures of employer, parent and yourself).
3.                  Go to the following website: www.dllr.state.md.us/labor/empm.shtml and complete the online application (you will use the paper application to complete this).
4.                  After you complete the online application, you will get a screen with a receipt.
5.                  Print the receipt and bring the receipt and your paper application to the guidance office.
6.                  Please allow one full day for the guidance office to obtain your work permit.
