I wanted to take this opportunity to list a few reminders
regarding health room policy and procedures.
Please remember that students cannot transport any medication
to or from school. This includes over the counter remedies
as well as prescriptions. If your child is in need of
medication during the school day, please use the medication
consent form that is attached to this website
or ask to have one sent home with your child. A physician
and a guardian must sign and complete the form. An adult
must bring the medication that accompanies the order to
school.
We also request that, if your child is ill, has a fever, is
vomiting, or is severally congested with a cough please
keep them home. Attendance is very important, however,
it is as important for our students and staff to minimize
the amount of contagious germs spread during the day.
We request that your child be fever-free for 24 hours
prior to returning to school or have a doctors note to
return.
Chapstick is allowed at school. Please remind your child
to use it responsibly if they chose to bring it in. They
will be asked to leave it home if it becomes a distraction.
Also, cough drops that are not medicated are allowed.
We ask that you send a note to the teacher if you are
sending some in with your child. Again, please ask them
to use them responsibly. No sharing please.
As always, if you have any questions or needs please
feel free to call me at 410-751-3433 between 8:45 am &
4:15 pm on school days.
