Introduction

The Comte de Guiche has demanded that you and your friends create a scroll full of information about various aspects of life in 17th century France. Since de Guiche amuses himself by watching others work hard, he has specifically given you areas in which to report. Your team's job is to find information pertaining to the following areas of 17th century France: Art, Theater, Politics, Philosophy, Fashion and biographical information on de Guiche's arch enemy Cyrano de Bergerac. Your group will locate the information, share the information and then individually create a "scroll" or newspaper of the times reporting in all mentioned areas. The final product must be typed and include pictures or images from the research. The format of the newspaper/scroll may include articles, advertisements, obituaries/births, advice column, and/or political cartoons.

Process

Divide each of the six topics among your group. Click each topic link for suggested information to locate. Be mindful of dates and milestones in each area. Feel free to gather information from any and all years of the 17th century.
