SCHS Giving Tree Campaign
(Annual Clothing and Gift Drive)
Each December, Neighbors in Need, a division of the Human Services Programs of Carroll County, Inc. provides Christmas gifts to over 1,000 low-income families through their Holiday Shop. The South Carroll High School Media Center supports their charitable efforts through its Giving Tree Campaign. All students, faculty, staff and other members of the South Carroll High School community are welcome to send in a donation of a newly purchased item such as warm articles of clothing (gloves, hats, mittens, scarves, etc.) pajamas, slippers, unwrapped assorted gifts for teenagers, or personal care items. Additionally, due to extreme need for holiday help, "gently used" items of books, stuffed animals, bikes and coats will also be accepted. All donations will be placed around the tree and taken to the Neighbors in Need Holiday Shop in Westminster. Here is a complete list of ideas for gift donations that are needed by Neighbors in Need. The SCHS Giving Tree Campaign begins Monday, November 28 and will end on Monday, December 12. For further information, please contact Ms. Wingert in the media center at 410-751-3575 or irwinge@carrollk12.org.
