Administration

During the past 36 years, I have been a reading specialist and classroom teacher. As an educator, I was a classroom teacher in New York and Arizona, and since 1990, I have served in Carroll County Public Schools. Prior to being named principal at Parr’s Ridge Elementary, I was an assistant principal at Charles Carroll and Carrolltowne Elementary Schools.

Beginning its seventh year together, the Parr’s Ridge staff is dedicated and hard working. Our school community gives generously of their time and energy for our young children.
Together we have created a safe and nurturing environment and a culture of high expectations that make Parr’s Ridge an outstanding school.

It is with great pleasure that I assume the role of assistant principal at Parr’s Ridge Elementary School. I am originally from Pennsylvania and attended The Penn State University to become a teacher. I taught Kindergarten at Carrolltowne Elementary School before becoming an assistant principal. I have been assistant principal at Manchester Elementary School for the past four years. 
 
I am very excited to join the staff at Parr’s Ridge Elementary School! I know that we will work together to meet the needs of all students in an environment that makes all children feel safe and valued. I am very excited to meet each of you and am always willing to discuss student concerns or celebrations. I know you will be amazed at how much your child grows over the course of the school year!
