Oklahoma Road Middle School's Parent Teacher Organization meets the second Monday of every month at 7:00 p.m. in the ORMS Media Center. Parents and teachers are invited to become active in a variety of programs which enhance educational experiences for children.

Mission

The mission of the PTA is three-fold:

* To support and speak on behalf of children and youth in schools, in the community and before governmental bodies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children.

* To assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children.

*To encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools of this nation.

PTA projects offer a wide variety of opportunities for parents to become involved in their child's learning community. Aside from elected officers, the following committees comprise our organization:

Welcoming

Our PTA does an exceptional job of keeping parents informed about early adolescence. This is accomplished by providing each student with a SchoolMate Ag
enda/Handbook, publishing "Twister Talk," the school newsletter, every other month providing brochures and reading material at Back-To-School Night and American Education Week, as well as resource books in the parent section of the school Media Center.
