The following list of services is intended to help our parents navigate through available resources in the community and better connect with their children. Carroll County Public Schools, School Counselor Site: This site describes the role of the School Counselor in Carroll County Public Schools. Links are also available to research information on careers and post-secondary education.
American School Counselor Association: This organization provides a website that describes the role of the School Counselor. Parents may also access articles about issues that affect their children. When you enter the website, click on the tab for parents & public.
Directory of Community Services, Carroll County, MD: This service is maintained by the Carroll County Public Library. The website contains information on a variety of nonprofit and community organizations, including counseling resources, government agencies, recreational opportunities, and clubs and organizations.
Carroll County Youth Service Bureau: The Carroll County Youth Service Bureau is a multifaceted outpatient mental health treatment agency, providing treatment and prevention services largely designed to support children, adolescents, and families.
Volunteer Carroll: This is a searchable website of local volunteer opportunities to help students earn their service learning hours for high school graduation.
Connect With Kids: This site is aimed to guide parents and educators in helping children. The site covers virtually all critical issues affecting children today, including body image, eating disorders, drug use, bullying, self-injury, and internet safety. A free newsletter is available.
Study Skills & Test-Taking Skills: A site providing strategies for studying, note-taking, test-taking, and reducing test anxiety.
South Carroll High School and Francis Scott Key High School: SC and FSK are the feeder high schools for New Windsor Middle. You may browse their websites to view their school calendars, information regarding sports teams, and much more.

Standardized Testing Information Parents and students, here is a website that may help you start to plan your future. College, post high school education, and career plans will be here all too soon.
