CHORUS
Divided by grade, each chorus prepares for the winter and spring concerts. Special groups of students represent NCMS through their participation in the Eisteddfod and All-State Chorus.INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC
The Instrumental Music Department consists of six primary performance classes: 5th grade Band, 5th grade Strings, 6th grade Band, 6th grade Strings, 7th & 8th grade Band, and 7th & 8th grade Orchestra. Weekly small group technique classes are given to all performers in addition to their large group rehearsals. Each group performs in two concerts each year: a Winter concert held in December, and a Spring concert scheduled in May. Supplemental activities for advanced instrumental students include: County and State Solo & Ensemble Festivals, All County Band, All County Orchestra, the Carroll County Middle School Band & Orchestra Adjudication. Other ensembles that meet at different times throughout the year include Percussion Ensemble and Jazz Band.|
The goal of the MultiCultural Club of North Carroll Middle is to encourage students to recognize and to embrace diversity through a series of school wide activities sponsored by the club.

PEER MEDIATION The Peer Mediation Program trains seventh and eighth grade students to help their peers resolve interpersonal conflicts. This service can be requested through the guidance office. Peer Mediators also volunteer their time to give tours and become a buddy to new students.

S.H.O.U.T. The goal of S.H.O.U.T. (Students Helping Others and Understanding Themselves) is to provide activities for students so that they can remain drug-free and interact with other students in school. S.H.O.U.T. also provides services to community organizations. Activities include the Red Ribbon Campaign, Smokescream, Rec Nights, and various community service projects. |

SKI CLUB NCMS Ski Club allows students to learn and become more proficient skiers and snowboarders. We take 6 trips on Thursdays from 2-10pm to either Ski Liberty or Ski Roundtop, beginning in January. Students may either ski or snowboard each trip. |

STUDENT GOVERNMENT ASSOCIATION SGA is dedicated to improving the life of students as well as our community and the world. Ideas for community service, fundraising, and entertainment come from, and are carried out by, student leaders. |

ART CLUB The Art Club's purpose is to enrich student's creativity and to help them become more rounded as individuals. They will be involved in painting murals, creating panther pride buttons, and participating in poster contests and various other artistic endeavors. |
NEWSPAPER CLUB
The Panther Spirit Newspaper Club is an opportunity for 5th grade students and returning 6th grader club members to use their writing talents to share the news and events of NCMS and the surrounding community with their classmates in the form of a grade level newspaper. Club members act as journalists, photographers, and cartoonists. The club expects to publish a minimum of three editions of the Panther Spirit this year. The club meets after school on Fridays.
