FREE SAT TEST PREP!! Did you know that North Carroll High School subscribes to a service that will allow our students to have access to UP to 50 hours of FREE SAT test preparation geared to their individual learning needs? It is true and it is being underused, SO, it is time for parents to jump on the bandwagon and encourage students to use this valuable service! Students can log on to Bridges.com using their school login information (from home or school) and by following some simple steps, develop a portfolio that will allow them to have access to the program. Please request an instructional page from a counselor that describes the specific steps students are to follow - we do not want students to give out too much information and so it is IMPORTANT to follow the directions completely (part of the test prep!).
Also included on the Bridges website is a career exploration tool, college comparisons and scholarship search that are also very useful and fun. It is never too early to begin exploring careers. Students should be familiar with the career exploration aspect of the Bridges site if they took Freshman Seminar but it is always fun to update and see what the latest possibilities are. After the quiz the students can link to the Occupational Outlook Handbook and other resources to see what the future looks like for a career that interests them. CHECK IT OUT!! If you have questions about the Bridges.com programs, contact Mrs. Kraft in School Counseling for more information. mjkraft@k12.carr.org.
