Manchester Valley High School is proud to introduce Family Connections, part of Naviance Succeed, to our students and families. Students will be using this valuable tool during Advisory and Freshman Seminar lessons. Students and families are encouraged to use this software in their college and career searches, as well as using it as a way to simplify the college application process. All students and families will be issued passwords and IDs to access Family Connection using the following link:

Amy Cain (Drop-Out Prevention Teacher) Mrs. Cain received her B.S.degree in Public Administration from Shippensburg University and her M.S. in School Counseling from McDaniel College. She has worked at the elementary and high school levels in Carroll County Public Schools for a total of 6 years. Prior to joining the school system, she spent 13 years as a Case Manager for Carroll County Department of Social Services.
Kim Cashen (Registrar) Mrs. Cashen received her Bachelor's degree from Towson University in Business Administration. She was employed as a Financial Representative for more than 24 years in companies including T. Rowe Price, Bank of Hanover and Union National Bank before joining Manchester Valley High School. She worked within CCPS as a cheerleading coach for several years prior to opening MVHS.
Darlene Gordon (Crisis Counselor) Mrs. Gordon received B.S. degrees in both Psychology and Social Services from UMBC. She completed her Masters degree at UMAB School of Social Work and Community Planning. Before she came to CCPS, she worked for 14 years in community mental health, specializing in child abuse and domestic violence.
Dee Muskin (Counselor, Students with last names P-Z) Ms. Muskin received her B.S. degree in Physical Educatio (K-12) from Tampa University and her Masters Degree in School Counseling from Towson University. She was part of the Baltimore County Public School System before joining CCPS. Prior to her work in education, she owned and operated a restaurant in Towson.
Rae Owens (Counselor, Students with last names A-F) Mrs. Owens received her Bachelor's degree in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Secondary Education as well as her Masters in School Counseling from McDaniel College. She has been with CCPS for 18 years, as a middle school science teacher and as a School Counselor at the middle school and high school levels.
Mark Smith (Career Connections Coordinator) Mr. Smith received his B.S. in Agribusiness, with a minor in Agricultural Education, from Delaware Valley College. He is currently pursuing his Masters degree in Special Education and Administration at McDaniel College. Mr. Smith carries teaching certification in Agriculture, Technology, and Special Education. He co-advises the MVHS FFA chapter and has been a teacher in the Carroll County Public Schools for six years.
Carie Reese (Counselor, Students with last names G-O) Mrs. Reese is the head of the School Counseling Dept. She received both her B.A. in Psychology and an M.A. in School Counseling from McDaniel College. Prior to joining MVHS, she worked as a Guidance Counselor at Liberty High School.
Trish Rose (Guidance Secretary) Mrs. Rose received her A.A. in Computer Information Systems from Villa Julie College. She began her CCPS career in 2005 in the Intervention Office at West Middle. She later joined the School Counseling Dept as a Paraprofessional at West Middle before coming to MVHS.
