Media Specialists:

Mrs. Bailey

Mrs. Bailey did her undergraduate work at the Pennsylvania State University and Towson State University. She earned a Master’s Degree in Education with an emphasis in School Library Media from McDaniel College. She is also a certified School Administrator and acts as Instructional Leader for the Specialist Team.

Mrs. Bailey has published over 40 educational articles and lesson plans and has taught several school library media courses at McDaniel College.
She feels that a library media center should be a fun place to learn new ideas, discover great authors and giggle at every chance!

Mrs. Wilson

Mrs. Wilson earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a double major in Spanish from Mount Saint Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, Maryland. She worked as a classroom teacher for seven years in grades, 2, 3, and 5. While teaching, Mrs. Wilson attended McDaniel College to earn her master’s degree in School Library Media.

Mrs. Wilson is thrilled to be working as a school librarian at Manchester Elementary. She is most excited about sharing her enthusiasm for books and technology with her students. One of her favorite authors is Kate DiCamillo, and her all time favorite children’s book is Jumanji by Chris Van Allsburg.
Mrs. Wilson believes the school library is a student’s connection to the world; a place where students can feel comfortable to take risks, ask questions and seek answers to develop into independent lifelong learners.
