BUDS
Middle school students work one on one with a student at Parr’s Ridge or Mt. Airy Elementary.   Advisor: Mrs. DeAtley
Builder’s Club
A community service organization comprised of students sponsored by the Kiwanis Club. Club meets during activity time during the school day. Advisor: Mrs. DeAtley
Drafting Bulldogs

Students will engage in activities and engineering challenges and how they relate to real-world structures. Available for students in grades 6-8.  Club meets monthly after school.  Advisor: Mr. Weaver
 
Drama Club

Participating students will perform a school play. Club meets twice a week after school. Listen for audition information during morning announcements for the plays that are performed in the Fall and Spring.  Advisor: Mr. Henning
Green Club

Students will use education and action to engage in earth friendly activities that help our school and community. Available for students in grades 6-8. Club meets monthly after school.

Leo Club

A partnership between the Mt. Airy Lions Club and the community to develop leadership, experience, and opportunity. Available to students in grades 7-8. Club meets during Activity Period.

Mentor Club
Students work one-on-one with an adult member of the community during Activity Period.  Advisor: Mrs. DeAtley
Multicultural Club

Students learn about and celebrate diversity. In the Spring the club hosts a dinner and donates the proceeds to a charity. Available for students in grades 6-8. Club meets during Activity Period.  Advisor: Mr. Driscoll
 
PALS
A group of students who help others learn about the school. Students get together during Activity Period.  Advisor: Mr. Driscoll
Peer Mediation
Student mediators will help resolve conflicts and issues between students. Advisor: Mr. Driscoll
Peer Tutoring
A study hall where students work one-on-one with a peer. Advisor: Mrs. DeAtley
Rubik’s Cube Club

Have you ever wanted to know how to solve a Rubik’s Cube? Come join our club that focuses on learning the methods involved in solving a standard 3x3 Rubik’s Cube. Club meets twice a month after school for students in grades 6-8.

Science Olympiad

The Science Olympiad Team competes against schools all over the state in a regional, state and national competition. The students compete in teams of two for individual medals and receive an overall team score like the Olympics. The events change every year and cover all science and engineering fields such as construction, anatomy, biology, life science, earth science, chemistry and physics. Club meets during Activity Period. Available for students in grades 7-8.  Advisor: Ms. Hartley
 
SHOUT

Students promote and support drug free behaviors with their peers on a regular basis in addition to providing service to many community organizations. Various activities are scheduled throughout the school year.
