Fifth graders have been learning skills needed to be Media literate in our Media-saturated world. Fourth grade is studying different genres in literature. Third grade finished Dictionary skills and has voted in the Black-Eyed Susan program. They will be exploring variation in folklore.
FIrst and second graders are finishing up with the Maryland Black-Eyed Susan Picture Book contest by casting their votes of the book they feel deserves to win.
Kindergarteners have been studying story elements and will be looking at variations in retelling traditional folktales.
Our Pre-K students have been checking out a book every other week.
All Grades will here about the Carroll County Public Library's Summer Reading Program
during a special presentation on June 5th.
Volunteers are always welcome. Please call the school if you would like to help us shelve some books or check-out in the mornings before our media clerk arrives.
