Mrs. Brenda Alexander || BAALEXA@K12.CARR.ORG
Mrs. Alexander teaches Honors Survey of American Literature/Composition
and Global Perspectives. Mrs. Alexander did her undergraduate and
graduate work at Towson University where she earned a B.A. in French
and English and an M.Ed. in Reading. Mrs. Alexander is also a published
author.
Mrs. Brenda Bosnic ||

Mrs. Bosnic is the chairperson of the English Department and a graduate
of Randolph-Macon Woman’s College, with a B.A. in English and
Politics and an M.P.A. from the College of Charleston. She is presently
pursuing a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction from McDaniel College
and has studied and lived abroad in England and Naples, Italy. Mrs.
Bosnic teaches Honors British Literature, Twentieth Century Novel,
and Creative Writing. As a long time member of the Eldersburg community,
she enjoys her roles as advisor for the Class of 2008 and sponsor
for the Debate Club.
Mr. Michael Cook||MDCOOK@K12.CARR.ORG
Mike Cook holds a B.A. (2004) from Middle Tennessee State University,
a M.A. (2006) from Grand Canyon University in Arizona, and is currently
working toward his Doctorate in Education at Liberty University in
Virginia during the summers. He teaches Global Perspectives and Modern
American Literature and Composition. Mike was the Carroll County delegate
for the 2007 Maryland Governor's Academy for English, and also serves
as the faculty advisor for the Teen Republican Club and head coach
for Girls Varsity Cross Country.
Mr. Simao Drew || SJDREW@K12.CARR.ORG
Mr. Drew is a graduate of Salisbury University, where he earned his
B.A. and M.A., and he received an M.A.T. from Towson University. Mr.
Drew teaches Gifted and Talented Creative Writing through the Maryland
Summer Center. He is also an adjunct English professor at Shepherd
University. At Liberty, Mr. Drew teaches Shakespeare, AP Literature
and Composition, Honors Global Perspectives and Multicultural Literature
& Composition. He is the Advisor to Liberty High’s chapter
of the National Honor Society and the Literary Magazine.
Mr. Michael D. Flemming, Jr. || MDFLEMM@K12.CARR.ORG
Mr. Flemming is a graduate of Western Maryland College with a B.A.
in English and a minor in Education. He has his Masters equivalency
and is working on his Masters Degree at McDaniel College. Mr. Flemming
teaches Honors 20th Century Novel, English I, Modern American Literature
& Composition, Multicultural Literature & Composition, and
Creative Writing . He is the head coach for Varsity Wrestling, an
assistant coach for Varsity Football, and also a Lacrosse coach.

Ms. Harris has a B.A. in English, an M.A. in Reading, and is currently
working on a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology. Ms. Harris is a Reading
Specialist and is responsible for Service Learning Hours.
Mrs. Michelle Singer || MLSINGE@K12.CARR.ORG
Mrs. Singer teaches English I, Creative Writing, and Public Speaking.
She is a graduate of Towson State University where she earned her
B.S. and from Western Maryland College where she received her M.Ed.
She is co-sponsor of the Multicultural Club and Book Club.
Ms. Trisha Szymanski ||

MS. Szymanski holds a M.A.T. from Mount St. Mary's in Secondary English.
Ms. Syzmanski also earned my B.A. in Rhetoric and Communications from
Mount St. Mary's. This year Ms. Syzmanski is teaching Public Speaking,
Drama I, Multicultural Lit & Comp, and is the Yearbook adviser.

Miss Dixon is a graduate of Goucher College with a B.A. in English.
She teaches Honors Global Perspectives and Humanities. She is also
an advisor for the Class of 2011.
Miss Tina Thomen ||

Mrs. Thomen teaches Honors Survey of American Literature/Composition
and Global Perspectives. She graduated from UMBC with a B.A. in English
and History, and she earned her Masters in Secondary Education from
McDaniel College. Mrs. Thomen is an advisor for the Class of 2011.
