Biographies:
Administration
Mr. Dwayne Piper, Principal|| DEPIPER@k12.carr.org
Mr. Piper earned his B.A. from Houghton College in Western New York.
He holds a Master's degree in Special Education and a Master's degree
in High School Administration from Western Maryland College. Mr. Piper
has been an administrator for Carroll County Public Schools for several
years. He has worked at South Carroll and Century High Schools in addition
to Liberty. Prior to his work as an administrator, Mr. Piper was a special
education teacher at South Carroll High.
Mr. Thomas Clowes, Assistant Principal || THCLOWE@k12.carr.org
Mr. Clowes graduated from the University of Maryland, where he earned
his B.A. in Political Science and Geography. Mr. Clowes has a B.S. in
Education from Johns Hopkins and an M.S. in Educational Administration
and Supervision.
Ms. Ruthanne Kenney, Assistant Principal || RAKENNE@k12.carr.org
Mrs. Kenney earned her B.S. in Special Education from Southern Connecticut
State College. Mrs. Kenney earned her M.A. in Education from Regent
University and her administrative degree at Cambridge College. Prior
to Liberty, Mrs. Kenney taught at East Hartford High and Founders School
at Becket Academy in Connecticut, as well as Deep Creek High School
and Winters Mill High.
Mr. Scott Lavender, Assistant Principal||

Mr. Lavender has a B.S. in Public Administration from George Mason University
and an M.S. in Human Resource Development/ Educational Leadership from
Towson University. Before coming to Liberty, Mr. Lavender served as
Assistant Principal at Francis Scott Key High School and taught as a
special education teacher in Howard County and New Jersey.
Mrs. Alice Rau, Administrative Facilitator||

Mrs. Rau is a National Board Certified Teacher in Early Adolescent Mathematics.
She received her BS from Western Maryland College, majoring in Mathematics
and minoring in secondary education. Her
MS in Administration is also from Western Maryland College. Mrs. Rau
has Taught 16 years mathematics at Francis Scott Key High School.
